A new library to host the Stepping UP programme, Rotorua District Library has found the process easy and fit-for-purpose. Learning Facilitator, Anne Riddle, has been thrilled with the feedback to date.
“Our customers are loving these classes and regularly compare them with classes that they have taken elsewhere. They make comments like “these classes are so personal”, “I hate being in large classes – these are great”, “I feel as if I can ask Amanda or Anne anything without feeling stupid”, “I feel empowered” so it’s certainly boosted our confidence”, says Anne.
Anne also mentions that she found the hosting start-up process simple, liaising with the Stepping UP Product Manager who supported the Library throughout. “All the promotional material, along with the course notes make running these classes so easy”.
The library plans to continue holding weekly lessons on a variety of subjects which include Computer Basics, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Emailing, Google & the Internet, Digital Photos and Employment.
