Wild but totally worth it on the West Coast!

  • by

DORA endured some pretty heavy-duty weather whilst on the West Coast this month but, as expected, she handled it like a charm.  Nothing stops DORA getting through to her communities!

Debbie from Kiwibank (front right) taking a class of 10 learners at Greymouth in early December 2019.

From Murchison to Franz Josef, DORA travelled with teams from WestREAP, Kiwibank and Westland District Libraries.  Drivers Tom, Kevin and Colin were superb and we knew DORA was in the very best of hands each journey.

We simply cannot acknowledge the West Coast team enough, you were amazing and your commitment to your communities was second to none.

Many thanks to Debbie and her team at Kiwibank, and Natasha and Lorelle at Westland District Libraries; where would the people of New Zealand be without their libraries!

And an extra special thanks to Cheryl Smeaton, ACE Coordinator at WestREAP, who loves DORA just as much we do; her continued support of our programmes is nothing short of exceptional.
